Who we are

Ferah Murat

Hi! I’m Ferah Murat and I am the Founder of Sideline Sisters Nonprofit Organization. I am a middle blocker on IMG Academies U14 Volleyball Team and I am a freshman in high school. I founded Sideline Sisters because I know first-hand as a student-athlete how much of a toll having the wrong mindset can be in sports, especially for young women. My goal is to connect, support, and spread positivity throughout all young women in sports for a better and brighter future.

Milana Germinario

Hi! Im Milana Germinario and I am the Co-founder of Sideline Sisters Nonprofit Organization. I am also a middle blocker on IMG Academies U14Volleyball Team and I am a freshman in high school. I decided to take on the role of Co-founder for Sideline Sisters because I have struggled with confidence in my sport and felt the “never-ending” pressure of letting my team down. That all changed when I realized the importance of strengthening my mental game. Through Sideline Sisters, I want to help other teenage athletes who face similar struggles build confidence, resilience, and a healthier mindset both on and off the court.

What Makes us Different

There are many nonprofit organizations that support young student-athletes, but what makes Sideline Sisters different is that we understand, because we’ve lived it. As young female athletes, Milana and I know the pressure, expectations, and internal struggles that come with being told to “just believe in yourself.”

Sideline Sisters exists to change how young female athletes see themselves by strengthening their mental game through honest conversations, shared experiences, and consistent support.
